Description
UAP Cyprus has built the hardware and is ready to install the specialised software of Sky360 once it is available. Sky360 was founded in 2021 by a group of European astronomers, software developers and hardware engineers as a non-profit NGO association, registered in Austria.
Its vision is to develop hardware and software under a Creative Commons Licence to observe the skies on a continuous basis all over the globe; to provide harmonised, high-quality results and analysis available to everybody; and to provide global live sky situation awareness.
Sky360 operates an expanding network of Sky Awareness Stations installed by stationeers and developers across North America, Europe, the Middle East and Australia. Each station contributes continuous observations to a shared dataset that is open to researchers worldwide.
