The Late Late Show with James Corden

Ronald Reagan's UFO encounter on Sept. 19, 1974, when he was governor of California, sparked a life-long interest in UFOs, leading up to his famous address to the 42d Session of the United Nations when, as the 40th President of the USA, he made reference to "An alien threat from outside this world." In 1984, Reagan created the Strategic Defense Initiative (SDI), also known as the "Star Wars program" (renamed in 1993, and currently
managed by National Defense Space Architecture).
Ronald Reagan's Address to the 42d Session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
"Can we and all nations not live in peace? In our obsession with antagonisms of the moment, we often forget how much unites all the members of humanity. Perhaps we need some outside, universal threat to make us recognize this common bond. I occasionally think how quickly our differences worldwide would vanish if we were facing an alien threat from outside this world.
And yet, I ask you, is not an alien force already among us?"

In 2005, the former Canadian Minister of National Defense (1963-1967) and Member of Parliament (1958-1974) Paul Hellyer publicly announced that he believed in the existence of UFOs, having seen one with his late wife and friends, although he had discounted the experience at the time. In his 2010 book, Light at the End of the Tunnel, Mr. Hellyer claimed that the U.S. has a “shadow government that has black ops installations that have already created new forms of energy using extra-terrestrial technology”.
