Cyprus

Strategically located in the Eastern Mediterranean Sea at the cross-section of Europe, Asia, and Africa, the island nation Republic of Cyprus, a member of the European Union, has attracted many a visitor in her 10,000 years of history. Known in the classical world as the legendary birthplace of Aphrodite, the Greek goddess of love and beauty, Cyprus has been visited, colonized and conquered by every major power in the ancient world. From the Mycenaean Greeks to the Assyrians and the Persians, Queen Cleopatra and the Romans, the Byzantines, the Crusaders and the Knights Templar, the Venetians, the Ottomans and the British, strangers arrived to the sundrenched shores of Cyprus with the frequency of the tide. In 1974, the Turks invaded, and today Cyprus bears the misfortune of being a divided nation, 36% of its sovereign territory under illegal Turkish occupation. Sometime in the mid-twentieth century, reports of a different type of alien visitor began to emerge—some from above, others from below the sea. UAP CYPRUS is committed to collecting evidence, analyzing the data, and investigating the identity and, perhaps, the purpose of these otherworldly visitors.
